Capture the Channel Islands 2027 Calendar 

The Channel Islands Park Foundation (CIPF) is launching an 11-month, themed photography contest (Dec 2025 – Nov 2026) to source images for our annual fundraising calendar. This is a unique opportunity for photographers of all levels to have their work featured while directly supporting the preservation and education initiatives within Channel Islands National Park. 

Note: To be selected, your photo must strongly connect to the assigned theme and the natural or historical environment of the Islands.

December 2025
Winter’s Quietude
Serene, misty, or dramatic light of early winter; atmospheric shots.
January 2026
Marine Majesty
Kelp forests, whales, sea lions, or vast ocean horizons of the Marine Sanctuary.
February 2026
Native & Endemic Life
Unique species found nowhere else, like the Island Fox or endemic plants.
March 2026
The Arrival of Spring
Vibrant colors, wildflowers (e.g., Giant Coreopsis), or first lush greens.

Island Geology & Coastlines
Dramatic cliffs, sea caves, rock formations, or sweeping topography.
